Luxury Home Magazine
With rentals, as long as beach towels and a corkscrew can be found, most vacationers will be satisfied with their fully furnished living quarters; however, when buyers purchase high-end ultra luxury homes, the quality of the décor increases the value of the home. When décor is made for the home, high-end buyers and sellers appreciate the continuity and retention of the design. In luxury home communities, décor can vary from a standard color palette and style that satisfies buyers in a general way, to island style interiors geared toward more specific potential buyers. Kuki’o is one such community. This issue’s front cover and Pacific Luxury Living ™ cover are both furnished homes in this private oceanfront club and residential community. All of Kuki’o’s finished residences are sold furnished while homesites are available for future custom homes. With the use of varied architects and designers, each furnished home has its own luxury and custom touches, from the artwork, to the appliances, to the textiles. If you can’t find what you need in the home, it’s likely available in the community. Kuki’o is the only private equity Golf and Beach Club on the Big Island; the club includes two Member’s Clubhouses, concierge service, spa and fitness facilities, dining pavilion, outdoor pursuits, and two Tom Fazio golf courses. Furnished and fantastic! When outfitting a fully furnished home it’s imperative to think of all the details. That’s when specialty interior companies shine. Indich Collection has been creating and distributing exquisite handmade rugs to the Islands since 1979. Recently, Indich contributed their quality products to a complete project constructed by Welch &Weeks LLC Architect and Associate with design by Merrill & Associates, Interior Design – The Barry Home in Kahala. Indich rugs warm the engineered Brazilian Cherry wood floor, and create a beautiful foundation for the furniture and accessories. The beige “Breadfruit” rug in the Great Room is 100% wool and handmade in India; the design is often in the details. Ultimately, no matter which materials or colors are utilized, filling a house with furniture and accessories provides a potential buyer with the vision of a home. It’s no longer an empty space with potential - the space has realized its potential. So whether the furnishings in a home are provided for rental purposes or included as part of a sale, it can be beneficial to include them. If you are considering selling your second home or high-end luxury estate, keep in mind that fully furnished properties garner extra attention; so out with your old, and in with your new.
