Instead of a written to-do list, I keep a running mental tally of places I want to visit and experiences I look forward to having one day. And yes, I suppose I want to have them before I, well, kick the bucket. Visiting international cities and man made treasures used to be at the top of my list. Now that I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower in Paris, The David in Florence, The Coliseum in Rome, and The Statue of Liberty in New York City, I’m turning my attention to the world’s natural wonders. I look forward to experiencing varied terrains and seeing rock formations, salt caves, and hot springs first-hand. My non-bucket list grows every day with another far-flung natural wonder, but sometimes, the most breathtaking view is in your own backyard. Hawaii’s natural landscape is truly one of the world’s most treasured terrains and we don’t have to travel halfway across the world to enjoy it!
