Luxury Home Magazine
4 LuxuryHomeMagazine.com In 2006, publishers Tor and Danyelle Lam lived on Oahu with their keiki, Jadian and Kaleb, who attended Koko Head Elementary in Hawaii Kai. Bringing a new real estate publication to Hawaii at the start of one of the greatest recessions was not easy. The inaugural issue of Luxury Home Magazine Hawaii featured 25 Realtors who recognized the benefits of the publication, and the rest is history. Over the past 15 years, the Lam family has seen several moves and family milestones—both Lam kids are now in college pursuing occupational therapy (Jaidan) and mechanical engineering (Kaleb). The publishers brought the magazine through economic and real estate downturns, and are always in pursuit of creating the best industry marketing for our ohana of advertisers— some of who have been with us from the very beginning. When off the clock,Tor is active with students in the RotaryYouth Exchange Program while Danyelle enjoys paddle boarding and yoga. In 2009, Maresa Giovannini joined the Luxury Home Magazine Hawaii ohana as editor.A degree in magazine journalism and a lifetime of subscriptions made Maresa a fervent advocate for and believer in the power of print.Through 10+ years with the publication, she’s enjoyed developing relationships, adding editorial flair, gaining in-depth knowledge of the industry, and continuously learning about Hawaii. Although she’s spent substantial time on each island, she currently lives with her husband Cody (a helicopter pilot) and pup Evie (a terrier) in Northern California. When her nose isn’t stuck in a magazine, Maresa loves to travel, thrift for vintage treasures, bird-watch, and spend time with her family.
